Who are we?
Erasmus Dance Society is the largest and oldest (37 years and counting) community of dancing students in the Netherlands! We aim to inspire our members to love dancing as much as we do through a variety of different dance classes and much more!
Never danced before? No problem! We’ve got classes and bootcamps for absolute beginners to pros. We offer regular classes in Hip-Hop, Salsa, Bachata, Latin Ballroom, Standard Ballroom, Commercial and Contemporary. In addition, we feature many other styles in our workshops! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, there’s a place for you on our dance floor!
At Erasmus Dance Society we like to think of ourselves as a family. We often get together for other events such as galas, social drinks/activities and, free dance evenings. Of course, everyone (Dutch, international, and exchange) is welcome to join our dancing family!

Just like most associations, the Erasmus Dance Society consists of multiple committees. Being on a committee offers you a chance to grow, learn, be a big part of EDS, and provide your talents to the association. There’s bound to be a committee that fits your needs, so have a quick look below!

Do you have a background in financial administration, or would you like to learn more about it, then this committee is for you!
Every association needs to have a team of auditors that checks the treasurers work before it is presented at the GA. As part of this committee, together you will take a look at the treasurers bookkeeping, and accept or reject it. This ensures the financial safety of the organisation!
Are you ready to organize a variety of events throughout the year including EDS Weekend, social drinks, and Couple Dancing parties? Then the Events Committee is your perfect choice!
We are looking for energetic, open-minded members with the role of bringing the EDS community together and improving our networking horizons. The main goal of the committee is to come up with creative and unique ideas to make activities more interesting. The role includes keeping in touch with locations, generating ideas about regular events, and implementing them in your projects. Apply for our Events Committee and make this year fun!
We are looking for creative minds to help us organize our most glamorous event! EDS Gala is the social highlight of the dance year, where our members can enjoy a chic dinner and dance the night away! Your role will include choosing this year’s theme, location scouting, and the design of the evening’s entertainment. Are you hands-on and passionate about event organization? Are you prepared to take EDS marketing to the next level? If so, the Marketing Committee is the perfect fit for you! You need to be actively seeking, enthusiastic and possess a talent for uniting our community through effective promotional efforts while extending our reach. As a member, your responsibilities will include developing innovative marketing initiatives, creating promotional material, and executing impactful campaigns. Join us on the Marketing Committee and share our passion for dance!
Previous experience in software like Vegas, Premier, Illustrator, Capcut, Canva or Photoshop is not mandatory, but it is definitely a big plus!
